Accuracy International Chassis System
The most advanced replacement stock system available for Remington™700. Remington™ 700 users can benefit from many of the advanced ergonomic and functional benefits of the AI rifle system, a far superior chassis system with full-length aluminium self-aligning, self-bedding vee block compared to traditionally bedded interfaces between actions and stocks.
All Accuracy International sniper rifles use this chassis, which is not merely a stock. The metal and polymer structure provides the raw strength and durability necessary to provide a rugged platform for the barreled action, and is a combat proven structure in all of our rifles. The AICS requires no specialized gunsmithing and is quick and easy to install. The Accuracy International Chassis System provides a degree of modularity and configurability that cannot be achieved with fibreglass alone. The modern sniper needs to rule the battle field day and night, in all weather and any terrain, and the AI Chassis System achieves this.
- Full length aluminium chassis
The stiffness of the chassis gives the rifle a rugged, environmentally stable platform to enhance accuracy and zero retention. The action is attached to the stock by two bolts (supplied)* and retained in a self-aligning vee block bedding system.
- Folding chassis
When folded, the overall length is reduced by 8" (210mm). Ideal for rapid deployment from a vehicle, the stock locks in the folded position for security and to avoid noise. Released by simply pulling on the butt, the wear compensated hinge ensures total rigidity in the extended position. This option adds 0.4lb (0.2kg) to the weight.
Designed to provide a secure grip and a repeatable shooting position in all conditions, the aluminium chassis is encased in polymer stocksides which are impervious to all normal cleaners and lubricants used in small arms maintenance. Stocksides are available in black, green or dark earth.
- Adjustable cheekpiece
The standard adjustable cheekpiece adjusts left/ right as well as for height to obtain optimum cheek position when using night vision equipment or telescopic sights with large objective lenses.
